The Mikulov-based (Czech Republic) Piršč Porcelain Studio is one of the key driving forces in the field of contemporary porcelain. Each year, designer Daniel Piršč produces significant technological innovations that change how contemporary porcelain is seen and used.
He co-founded the Křehký Mikulov Festival (křehký means fragile) with the Křehký Gallery and Regional Museum in Mikulov. The festival serves as a platform for launching the latest products from his studio. This year in May, he presented his installation outside the castle for the first time – he has chosen the Dietrichstein Sepulchre, which is part of St. Anne’s Church built between 1623 and 1656, in the lower part of Mikulov square. www.pirsc.cz
