Two years ago, she showed colour-changing feather clothes – now she continues the exploration of this concept in leather accessories.
Lauren Bowker, the founder of a London-based studio The Unseen’s Air, is experimenting with fashion: she has created Articles for Selfridges department store. Articles is a series of everyday objects which change colours owing to a specially developed material sprinkled with ink. The colours depend on the contact of the objects with the body: manually applied paints allow each item to display different colours. The designer’s dream is for these objects to become memory banks handed from generation to generation. The collection includes a bag, a phone case, a scarf and a wallet. www.seetheunseen.co.uk
